American auto magazine Motor Trend announced the 2016 annual model finalists, involving cars, trucks and SUVs. This year's finals were short-listed for cars, and there were also a few competitors in the popular market. Motor Trend will present its awards ceremony in Los Angeles on November 14.
Annual car shortlist: (1) Audi A4. The model is highly rated for its overall structure, quality and technical level, and its level and added point are unparalleled.
(2) Jaguar XE. The new XE "given a new definition of the 'sports model'.
(3) Chrysler Pacifica. This MPV model "sets functionality and comfort, giving the impression of a luxury sedan."
(4) Chevrolet Bolt. Foreign media evaluation: "The car presented us with a standard electric model, compact, smooth style, long battery life and price."
Annual SUV finalists: (1) Audi Q7. "The elegance and high technology of the Q7 haunt the whole body."
(2) Mercedes-Benz GLC. “The high-end interiors of the Mercedes-Benz GLC Deluxe SUV and the powerful turbine engine left a deep impression on the judges.â€
(3) Jaguar F-Pace. “Reinventing the versatile use of the SUV, it seems to be a sports car, but its off-road capability is also quite good.â€
The highlights of pickups are also many: (1) Honda Ridgeline. “The one-piece body structure and independent rear suspension make the car run more smoothly and the handling is more precise.â€
(2) Ford Super Duty. "Ford's F-250 and F-350 are powered by a 'power stroke' diesel engine."
If you are a car singer, you may notice the categories of judgement in the Motor Trend and the NACTOY Awards and the differences between the vehicles. This is essentially the classification and eligibility criteria for each model. For example, Chrysler's small car is an SUV in the "North American Car of the Year", and "Motor Trend" classifies it as a car.
