Shanghai-Hangzhou high-speed rail 4G coverage Recently, Zhejiang Mobile announced the completion of the pilot work of the D-band LTE private network at the 15-km section of the Shanghai-Hangzhou high-speed railway from Jiaxing South Station to Jiashan Station, extending the 4G network coverage section along the high-speed line to Jiashan South Station. At this point, Zhejiang Mobile has achieved continuous coverage of the high-speed rail 4G network in the 80km section from Linping to Jiashan in Hangzhou, and the number of base stations on the entire line has reached 76. It is reported that this is the world’s first high-speed railway 4G network with a combined D+F band network.

It is reported that this special network pilot project is one of the 28 annual topics of China Mobile Group. It is currently the only LTE high-speed railway project in China and mainly focuses on the operation of TD-LTE networks and customer perception under the HSR scene. The project won the Global Wireless Network Innovation Award at the 2013 Telecom Industry Innovation Awards Ceremony organized by GTB (Global Telecoms Business) in London, United Kingdom.

We know that the construction of wireless networks for high-speed mobile scenarios has long been a difficult point in the development of mobile communication technologies. To this end, Zhejiang Mobile has conducted a full range of technical research:

· By actively introducing frequency compensation techniques, it is possible to accurately calculate the frequency offset in advance and gain over 4dB of gain;

· By introducing super cell technology, inter-cell interference suppression can reach 3 DB, and network handover and cell reselection probability can be reduced by more than 50%;

· The entire LTE private network of high-speed railways has reached a higher performance state through means such as antenna feeder transformation, adjustment, parameter optimization, and interference investigation.

After the actual high-speed rail test on site, the data service rate averaged 17.7Mbps~21Mbps and the peak download rate was 54.9Mbps.
