Abstract This paper has done some preliminary analysis and discussion on how to identify G24, GX24 and GY24 lamp holder models, and the compatibility of G24, GX24 and GY24 lamp holders with G24, GX24 and GY24 single-ended fluorescent lamps. Because the correct selection of such fluorescent lamp holders in the luminaire will directly affect the safety and function of the consumer when changing the lamp, and also the qualification of the luminaire product, each CCC certification body, CCC testing organization and production Enterprises should pay full attention to this issue.

Accelerating the construction of a resource-saving and environment-friendly society and realizing the fundamental transformation of the economic growth mode are major issues that China's economic and social development should focus on in the future. The development of green lighting is an important measure to ensure the stable and rapid development of China's national economy. With the increasing use of compact energy-saving fluorescent lamps in life, it is comfortable in light, good in color rendering, energy saving and beautiful in appearance. Compared with incandescent lamps, it has three major advantages: greatly reduced power consumption, greatly extended life, and small size, which can replace almost all ordinary bulbs. As for the economy, compact energy-saving fluorescent lamps are 6-8 times longer than ordinary bulbs. With the same brightness, compact energy-saving fluorescent lamps can save 80%. Therefore, each energy-saving lamp can save consumers up to several times the cost of use. Fluorescent lamps such as single-ended two-pin, four-pin G24, GX24, and GY24 are more and more abundant, and the power range is continuously expanded (10W-70W). The corresponding G24, GX24, and GY24 single-ended fluorescent lamp holders are also available. It is used in a variety of ways to meet the needs of a variety of single-ended fluorescent products. Now the models of G24, GX24 and GY24 lamp holders can be roughly divided into the following types, as shown in Figure 1 below.

In the G24, GX24, GY24 naming, G means two or more protruding contacts, that is, pin type. The combination of the capital letter X, Y letters added to the base symbol G indicates that the lamp cap is not (or not fully) interchangeable in terms of electrical or mechanical requirements, and is also the difference between the pin orientation and the outer casing shape. The combination of characters (-) plus numbers, this part represents an additional component that is important for interchangeability, that is, the difference between the positioning pins. We can discuss the characteristics of G24, GX24, GY24 lamp holders from two aspects according to the naming method.
â— The first aspect: the difference in the number of pins, the difference between d and q q-- represents 4 contacts; d-- represents 2 contacts. Because G24d- and G24q- and GX24d- and GX24q- have preliminary judgments on the naming method, except for the difference in the number of pins, there is no difference in other ways. How to prevent G24d- and GX24d-lamps from being mistakenly inserted into G24q- and GX24q-? In fact, in IEC60061-1, IEC60061-2, there is a clear requirement for the lamp cap and the lamp holder: the size of the G24q- and GX24q-lamp holders M (shown in Figure 2) is larger than that of the G24d- and GX24d- (Figure 3). Short, because the G24d- and GX24d-lamps have built-in starters and suppress electromagnetic interference capacitors, so a certain amount of space is required, so its M size requires a little longer. L2 is required in G24q- and GX24q-lamp holders.

The size (shown in Figure 2) is wider than the G24d- and GX24d-L2 (Figure 3). Simply understand that M is the depth in the lampholder structure and L2 is the width in the lampholder structure. According to IEC60061-1, this type of lamp size requirements:
The G24d- and GX24d-lamps have a maximum M value of 23.0 mm and the G24q- and GX24q- are reduced to 16 mm. In this case, the G24d-, GX24d-lamp M size is obviously 7 mm longer than the G24q- and GX24q-sizes, the G24d-, GX24d-lamp L2 values ​​range from 13.2 to 13.35 mm, and the G24q- and GX24q- are increased to 3.2-13.55 mm. The single-ended four-pin plug-in G24q-, GX24q-head part is shortened and the base part is widened. In the current products, most manufacturers use only the length difference and the width is consistent, so that it can avoid the use with the two-pin tube. The same lamp holder can save costs, and it is a good strategy and worth promoting.

An example is shown in Table 1: It is also a 10W single-ended energy-saving fluorescent lamp. If the M-size design of the lamp holder G24q-1 is consistent with the G24d-1 and the user is not familiar with the product features, then when replacing the light source, It is easy to confuse, users often have changed the new light source, but the luminaire still can't work normally, which brings a lot of inconvenience to the user. Therefore, this deep-shallow design of the lamp holder completely avoids this situation.
â— The second aspect: the difference of the positioning pin, the difference of the suffix -1 ~ -7 from Figure 1 we can clearly distinguish -1 ~ -7, but there are often many manufacturers in order to make their own lamp holder The single-ended fluorescent lamp capable of satisfying various powers expands the positioning pin of the lamp holder as shown in FIG. 5.

At first glance, it seems that it can save material. The lamp heads of different powers can be inserted smoothly. In fact, there are hidden dangers. The electrical parameters (including lamp voltage, lamp current), external dimensions and heating conditions of single-ended fluorescent lamps of different powers are different. It is easy to insert incorrectly when replacing the light source, causing overheating or damage to the ballast and light source. The correct approach is shown in Figure 6. The limit slots are designed according to the standard requirements, and the common positions of the various lamp holders cannot be taken. The appearance of -5~-7 is based on the addition of a plastic limit fitting on the basis of -1 to -3 as shown in Fig. 7.

The following is a summary of the lampholders used in accordance with the different powers of the four-tube and multi-tube single-ended fluorescent lamps used in the G24 lampholders on the market for reference. See Table 2 for details. Nowadays, many lamp holders have such a lamp holder as shown in Fig. 8. The upper limit of the lamp is required according to the standard size and direction requirements, and the corresponding one of the lower limit slots is enlarged. This method is very Ok, it won't lead to mis-insertion and it can also save costs.

Due to the excellent characteristics of energy-efficient single-ended fluorescent lamps, they are increasingly used by various types of lamps, and such lamps are basically within the scope of CCC mandatory safety certification. The correct selection of fluorescent lamp holders in such lamps is directly related to The safety and use function of consumers when changing lamps is the purpose of this paper, which is for the CCC certification body, CCC testing organization and production enterprises to pay attention to.
