Water ingress of this series of amplifiers is one of the more common faults. The main reason is that the amplifiers have been working in the field for a long time in the sun and rain, and long periods of unattended inspection and maintenance have caused the sealing pads to aging and cracks and lose their waterproofing effect. It is because the amplifier's heat dissipation and ventilation holes have a lot of water. Most of the water enters through the ventilation holes. The rainwater is not a one-time damage to the amplifier, but a slow penetration for a long time. A long time causes the amplifier circuit board components to corrode until the amplifier stops working. The most serious damage is the power circuit, according to the above situation we have adopted two solutions. 1. Apply Hz703 or 704 silicon adhesive to the waterproof rubber pad of the vent hole (unscrew the vent hole, apply the glue to the threaded end and tighten it), and apply more times to let the glue penetrate into the thread to achieve Until satisfied.
2. Use the waterproof cavity belt to block all the ventilation holes in the upper left corner. Do not use ventilation holes. The amplifier after this treatment has no water inflow.
Second, the output level of the amplifier is low, and the attenuator adjustment has no change.
Take the C6A-24 type amplifier as an example. In order to increase the gain, this type of amplifier is designed with two-stage amplification. A triode is added before the amplification module to make the amplifier's gain reach 40dB. During the maintenance, it was found that if the output level of the amplifier is low, it is mostly caused by the low magnification of the transistor BFR96S. I welded the transistor and measured its resistance with a DT-9925 digital meter. The base-collector is 760 Ω -The emitter is 760Ω (measured with a diode block), which is the same as the normal tube, but the measurement magnification decreases. After confirming that the input level is normal and the attenuator, equalizer, coupling capacitor, and amplification module BCY588N are not damaged, directly replace this tube to eliminate the fault.
