The project will be carried out in three phases, with a total investment of 550 million yuan in the first phase.
In December last year, the first phase of 11 MOCVD began to be put into trial production.
According to the major project data of the Foshan Twelfth Five-Year Plan, the project will also invest 1.68 billion yuan, with a total investment of 2.23 billion yuan. It is planned to be fully completed and put into production in 2013.
At the same time, another resolution of the shareholder Guoxing Optoelectronics to enter the field of LED chips was also voted on by the shareholders' meeting last year. Guoxing will invest 400 million super-raised funds to establish Foshan Guoxing Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. in cooperation with Guangzhou Chengxin Venture Capital Co., Ltd. (the specific name is subject to the industrial and commercial registration).
According to informed sources, the company will also be located in the South China Sea, the specific registration and site selection is pending approval by the government.
