Film Capacitors: Further Expanding Power Capacitor Product Range

The TDK Group has introduced new capacitor products that significantly expand the range of single-phase power capacitors used in industrial electronics. The B32370* to B32374* series capacitors are specified from 250VRMS to 600VRMS and range from 5μF to 600μF. The maximum current capability of different types of capacitors ranges from 15A to 60A. Capacitors range in diameter from 40mm to 136mm and heights range from 64mm to 265mm. The newly introduced capacitors are extremely reliable and have a service life of up to 100,000 hours. Capacitors use synthetic resin as a filling material and do not contain harmful substances in the PCB. This design allows them to operate continuously at 70 °C. The products are in compliance with IEC61071-1 and have passed UL certification. This new range of capacitors is available in three terminal types: M6 to M10 screw terminals, tabs, or clip-on terminals. The studs on the bottom of the capacitor are used for safety and grounding. The capacitor has a self-healing function, and a safety mechanism with an over-pressure disconnection is disposed inside. These power capacitors are widely used in UPS systems and can also be used in photovoltaic and wind power inverters or as output filter circuits for inverters.
