Design and Implementation of Hospital Call Intercom System Based on Microcontroller and DTMF Technology

With the rapid development of science and technology, especially the continuous updating of electronic information technology, the medical and health industry has also gradually deepened reforms, and modernized medical care has become the future development trend of hospitals. The hospital call intercom system is one of the important equipment to improve the level of hospital care One, its basic function is to make the nursing object communicate with the medical staff through a simple way. The 16-bit MSP430 microcontroller has a high degree of integration and rich on-chip resources. The main outstanding feature is low power consumption, which can achieve long-term stable work. After being applied to the system, the performance is well optimized and can improve the medical staff Work efficiency and reduce their labor intensity, patients can also receive timely care and medical treatment, which can significantly improve the hospital's service level and medical quality.

1 DTMF call intercom system introduction

1.1 Introduction of DTMF technology

DTMF (Dual Tone MulTI Frequency), that is, dual-tone multi-frequency, is a combination of a high-frequency signal and a low-frequency signal, which represents a number or character. A dual-tone multi-frequency signal is a combination of two specific single tones representing numbers or functions. There are 4 kinds of high and low frequency signals, which are composed of high frequency group and low frequency group respectively. A combination of 8 and 1 is used to form the DTMF signal. There are 16 configurations, which can represent 0-9, A-D, and * on the dial keypad. , # And other 16 characters, according to the signal frequency and characters corresponding to the table (as shown in Table 1). Because of its good anti-noise characteristics, it is widely used in dial-up transmission of communication systems.

1.2 Working principle of call intercom system

The host and extension of the system are controlled by the single chip microcomputer. Because there is only one host in the entire call system, which is the core module of the system, it can be connected to the extension through the external bus to realize the function of call intercom. The host computer can receive the call of the extension at any time. At the same time, the digital display and the patient information list can display the corresponding information synchronously and accurately. There are primary, secondary and tertiary care levels. When there are multiple call signals, It is displayed circularly according to the nursing level and the order of dialing.

2 Overall design of the system

The system can be divided into three parts in space, namely the medical staff's duty room, ward and corridor (as shown in Figure 1). The host, telephone and patient information list display are installed in the duty room of medical staff, the extension is installed in each bed of each ward, and the digital display is installed in the corridor. When the main unit is in standby, the digital display on the corridor displays information such as date and time. When a patient uses an extension to call the main unit, the main unit in the nurse's duty room will send out a ringing signal. At the same time, the patient information list display table and the number on the corridor The display screen will display the information of the corresponding patient. After the call is connected, the medical staff will know the condition of the patient in order to prepare the corresponding medical measures.
