Seoul Semiconductor, the world's leading LED manufacturer (representative director: Li Yixun, ) said on September 6 that Wicop new products with a luminous efficacy of 210 lm/W (350 mA) have started mass production. Wicop, which consists only of LED chips and phosphors, completely eliminates the packaging process surrounding the chip (bracket, gold wire, etc.). Packaging is considered a necessary process for LED manufacturing, and the new concept Wicop eliminates the need for equipment and components for this process.

The new Wicop product (Y22) is simple in structure, and only chips and phosphors completely break the inherent concept of light efficiency improvement. It is based on Seoul Semiconductor's unique LED chip manufacturing and phosphor related technologies. In particular, it achieves higher light efficiency than traditional high-power LEDs; compared to CSP (Chip Scale Package) products with similar appearance, the light efficiency is improved by more than 17%, reflecting the excellent performance and technical strength of Wicop Y22.
