"Household water-saving washing machine technical requirements" will be introduced in 13 years

In order to build a "resource-saving" and "environment-friendly" society, the National Household Electrical Appliances Standardization Technical Committee's Subcommittee on Cleaning Equipment has proposed an application for the "Technical Requirements for Household Water-Saving Washing Machines." This standard has already been approved for development. Standard setting work will start within the year and be completed in the second half of 2013.

Comments: China's resources are abundant, but in the face of many residents and resource usage, the issue of saving resources is also worth considering. The washing machine product standard does not quantify the water consumption limit and water saving level for washing machines, and the water consumption index is not mandatory. The drafting of this standard will determine the level of water use efficiency by studying the difference between the water consumption of pulsator-type washing machines, agitator-type washing machines, and drum-type washing machines. It can help manufacturers obtain information on collection and evaluation, and facilitate the development of energy-saving products. Raising the overall competitiveness and saving resources in our country will play a catalytic role.
