Hitachi will launch LED bulbs equivalent to 100W incandescent lamps in July

Hitachi Electric Co., Ltd. announced that its E26 lamp mouth ordinary large light angle LED bulb is the first in Japan to achieve the same amount of light as a 100W incandescent bulb (1520Lm), will be listed on July 13.

By adopting high-efficiency LED modules, and respectively utilizing the heat dissipation area of the slit portion of the "gap structure" which efficiently dissipates the heat of the LED module, it is expanded to about 1.3 times of the original product, and further expanding the LED light diffusion range and reducing the illumination of the lampshade. Technologies such as the “light diffuser” achieve brightness and illumination range comparable to 100W incandescent bulbs. Compared with the 100W incandescent bulb, the power consumption is about 1/6, and the rated life is 40 times, which is 40,000 hours.

LED bulbs consume only 15W, so fixtures that use 60W and 40W incandescent bulbs can also be used. Hitachi explained that because these lamps can provide the same brightness as 100W incandescent bulbs, you can easily increase the brightness and save energy by simply replacing the incandescent bulbs.

The new product has a protection function that automatically controls the temperature (the brightness also drops) when the temperature and humidity rise, so it can also be used for closed lamps. However, it cannot be used outdoors, and the dimmer is not yet supported. In addition, the size is 60 mm in outer diameter and 123 mm in length, which is one turn larger than the 100W incandescent bulb, so there may be cases where the existing lamps cannot be used due to size problems.

On the same day, Hitachi will also launch LED bulbs with brightness equivalent to 80W incandescent bulbs (1160Lm). The product number is "LDA15L-G". Other parameters such as size and life are basically the same as LDA15D-G. The price is open.
