There are some differences between the test data and OSRAM. From the data point of view, the light color quality is still very good, and the color tolerance value is controlled within 5 steps. The recommended applications for the S8 are MR16 and GU10 and small wattage bulbs. I hope that only one LED is used on one lamp. If it can be realized, the design is very simple. It is still very difficult to achieve the replacement of 40W traditional bulbs and 50-watt traditional metal halide lamps. Bulbs require luminous flux and large angles. Metal halide lamps require spherical illumination and small angles, which are just two different directions.
Third, material selection
OSRAM's introduction says: It is packaged in white epoxy (ie EMC material). The metal material of the bracket is still silver plated. Chip technology: described as a traditional sapphire substrate (traditio nal sapphire substrate).

I hope that in the future, OSRAM will produce more products.
OSRAM has put a lot of effort into the S8. At the same time, CREE has also released a high-power device with a size equivalent to 5.0*5.0mm. The power and luminous flux of a single device are getting higher and higher, which means that the heat generation of the LED chip is decreasing, and the heat dissipation performance is strengthening. A light bulb is needed for a small light bulb in the future, and this design may be a trend. Make it easier for users to design!
