Four companies including GS Yuasa, Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsubishi Motors and Lithium Energy Japan (LEJ) announced plans to recycle and reuse lithium-ion rechargeable batteries equipped with Mitsubishi Motors' i-MiEV electric vehicle, which will be tested in Kyoto City in the fall of 2010. test.

GS Yuasa cooperated with this empirical test to develop a PV-EV system that uses a combination of solar cells, lithium-ion rechargeable batteries and fast chargers. In this system, LEJ lithium ions used in i-MiEV electric vehicles will be reused. Rechargeable battery LEV50. The company plans to set up a PV-EV system in a parking lot such as Kyoto City in a way that can be used by ordinary users to accumulate data.

The PV-EV system consists of a power conditioner equipped with a LEV50, a solar cell, and a fast charger EVC-50KA that GS Yuasa plans to launch in July 2010 (see our report). The battery is usually charged by the power from the solar cell, and when the remaining amount of the battery is lowered, the system power can also be utilized. It is equipped with the function of recirculating the remaining power of the solar cell to the system power supply when the battery is fully charged.

Four companies, such as GS Yuasa, have been considering the recycling of lithium-ion rechargeable batteries after completing the mission of in-vehicle use. It is considered that it can be reused for a wide range of applications such as storage of natural energy such as solar power generation and power supply for industrial equipment. By recycling and using valuable car batteries, it is helping to reduce the cost of lithium-ion rechargeable batteries for electric vehicles. (Reporter: Shouji Haozhi)

Photoelectric Switch

The photoelectric switch is the abbreviation of the photoelectric proximity switch. It utilizes the shielding or reflection of the light beam by the detected object, and the circuit is connected by the synchronization loop to detect the presence of the object. The object is not limited to metal, all objects that can reflect light (or block light) can be detected.
