Russian media pointed out that a large number of counterfeit energy-saving lamps in China flooded the market

The Russian "Kommersant" reported on February 14th that the development of China's energy-saving lamp industry has progressed by leaps and bounds. Between 2001 and 2006, it increased at an annual rate of 48%. Various types of energy-saving lamps made in China can be seen everywhere in the sales market around the world. Among them, more than two-thirds of the energy-saving lamps in Europe are imported from China.

Russia's OPTOGAN President Lev said that currently China's manufacturing of fluorescent and LED energy-saving lamp products in Russia has accounted for 60% of the market share. The biggest problem with the product is poor quality and does not meet the relevant technical standards and environmental protection requirements. The service life is low and it is easy to cause harm to the human body. Some of China's lesser-known companies do not have sales performance and visibility, but they are keen to lobby local governments and participate in government procurement in countries and regions. This has caused Chinese products entering the Russian market to be “a big deal”.
