Japan's residential photovoltaic power generation system has a marked downward trend

It was revealed that the average price per kilowatt in the first half of fiscal year 2011 (April-September) was 536,000 yen, which was 11.7% lower than the 607,000 yen in fiscal year 2009. From the quarterly point of view, the price for the second quarter of fiscal 2011 (July-September) was 529,000 yen, which was a decrease of more than 90,000 yen from the second quarter of fiscal 2009.

The largest market for photovoltaic power generation systems in Europe was affected by the financial crisis and demand stagnated. In the Japanese market where demand is expected to increase significantly, overseas companies such as mainland China and Taiwan have entered, and price competition has also affected it.

According to the Photovoltaic Power Association survey, the proportion of imported products in the second quarter of fiscal 2011 was 19%. In terms of housing, solar panels accounted for 65% of the total PV system price. It is assumed that the popularity of low-priced imported products has become a factor of pressure.

Setting capacity also shows an increasing trend. The average installed capacity per household in the first half of fiscal year 2011 was 4.26 kilowatts, an increase of 11.5% from 3.82 kilowatts in fiscal 2009. From the quarterly point of view, after the third quarter of fiscal year 2010, it was more than 4 kilowatts.

Japan began implementing the surplus power purchasing system for residential photovoltaic power generation systems in 2009. At present, it is looking forward to sales revenue, and households with larger capacity solar cells are increasing.
