On March 1, 2017, Dongfeng Honda officially released its new SUV model, the UR-V. The new car is the sister model of the Crown Road. It is positioned in a 5-seat medium-sized SUV, which is similar in size and equipped with the same 1.5T/2.0T engine. In the future, Dongfeng Honda UR-V will form a relatively complete SUV product line layout together with XR-V and CR-V.
Dongfeng Honda UR-V refers to the overall design elements of the previous Honda CONCEPT D concept car, and it is also the sister model of Guangqi Honda Crown Road. The launch of the two is the latest case of Honda's implementation of the two-car program in the Chinese market.
As a medium-sized SUV, Dongfeng Honda UR-V is very stable in design style. The front air intake grille adopts an inverted trapezoidal design, which is closer to the concept car style. At the same time, the blackened grille with chrome trim strip is extraordinarily refined. The chrome trim is connected to the headlights. This design language has also appeared on Dongfeng Honda Aili and Gore models.
In terms of body size, Dongfeng Honda UR-V has a length, width and height of 4825/1942/1670mm and a wheelbase of 2820mm. Compared with the crown road, the length is increased by 9mm, the height is increased by 1mm, the width and the wheelbase are consistent, and it is more advantageous in the same level. At the same time, the new car also adopts a new rim design and adds a new decoration to the front fender.
The rear design of the UR-V is more individual, and the new one-piece integrated taillights look very stylish, visually improving the lateral ductility of the rear end, and also with good recognition.
In terms of interiors, the design of the UR-V is basically the same as that of the Crown Road. It has only been adjusted in the details of the central control, including the air outlet and some central control buttons. In addition, the new car will be a 5-seat model, just like the Crown Road.
In terms of power, the UR-V will also be equipped with Honda's latest 1.5T and 2.0T engines. The 2.0T engine has a maximum power of 272 hp and a peak torque of 370 Nm. The transmission system is matched with a 9-speed manual transmission. The 1.5T engine has a maximum power of 193 hp and a peak torque of 240 Nm. The drive is matched to the CVT gearbox.
